Classes start just after Labor Day, are tuition free to anyone, and there are no textbooks! Since time is short, we’re having interested people call to the phone numbers on the attached flyers. My staff will take things from there and provide lots of help to get folks in as new students.
In brief here are the details:
Course: BUS 800, 21st Century Skills, New World of Work – this course is what employers have been requesting for years, a way to upgrade “soft skills.” It is ideal for both new and incumbent workers. Topics include adaptability, analysis/solution mindset, collaboration, communication, digital fluency, entrepreneurial mindset, empathy, resilience, self-awareness and social/diversity awareness.

Course: BUS 841 – Starting a Small Business – this course is ideal for people who want to develop the skills to evaluate, refine and pitch a new product or service either as a new business idea or improve an existing business. Covers the logistics of establishing a business, supply chain planning, initial financing, building a management team and forecasting.

Both of these courses count toward the Certificate of Completion, Entrepreneurship for Makers though students are not at all required to pursue this certificate.
