“OLLi oLio” OLLI Orchestra’s Concert November 15th

“OLLi oLio” delightfully mixes Broadway show tunes, pop hits from the ’50s, a few dances and the first romantic symphony. (Olio is a collection of various artistic works or musical pieces.) Nevada County’s community orchestra performs a free concert on Friday, Nov. 15 at Sierra College.

The program includes a “Medley of Tunes from My Fair Lady,” Schubert’s Unfinished Symphony and four of Leroy Anderson’s favorite pop tunes. Dances include Dvořák’s “Slavonic Dance No. 8” and “The Blue Danube Waltz” by Strauss.

“OLLi oLio” concert takes place at 7:30 p.m. at Sierra College in Grass Valley on Friday, Nov. 15. There is no fee to park. Look for signs at the college entrance pointing to the Multipurpose Room N12. The last four OLLI concerts were standing-room-only, so it’s advised to arrive in plenty of time to park and choose seats.
