Oktoberfest at Pioneer Park October 5th

Celebrate Fall by raising a mug at the sixth annual OKTOBERFEST celebration at Pioneer Park on Saturday, October 5th, benefiting the KARE Crisis Nursery. The event is from 3 to 7 pm. Brews from 9 producers will be featured, including Ol’ Republic, Grass Valley Brewing Company, 1849 Brewing Company, Three Forks, T.W. Pitchers Brewing, Feather Falls, North Coast, Lost Coast and Lagunitas. Also available will be German wines. Guests can purchase German food plates of sauerbraten or bratwurst, as well as scrumptious desserts of strudel and Dr. Sarah’s Pie’s. The festival music will kick off with oompah music from the Hannebrink Duo, followed by the “kick-off-your-shoes-and-dance” music of the Roadtest Band.

Tony Norskog, collector of vintage motorcycles, is hosting an exhibition of interesting German bikes, and anyone arriving on a German motorcycle will be admitted for free.

Proceeds from the event help to support the KARE Crisis Nursery, which provides respite and emergency childcare services for local families who fall on hard times.

So, dust off your lederhosen, put a feather in your cap, and come enjoy a wonderful afternoon in the park for a great cause. Tickets are available Nevada City SPD, the Bookseller, Eventbrite, or by calling KARE at 265 0693 karecrisisnursery.org
