Nevada City Halloween

HALLOWEEN NEVADA CITY STYLE!

Stroll through magnificent fall color while enjoying Halloween and Day of the Dead décor. With a great selection of tours including a cemetery hike, spooky-tales of haunted historic sites, and fall color–all topped off with pumpkin ice cream

Here are some of the most exciting (and we think exhilarating) things to get you in the spooky spirit this October:

Nevada City Spooktacular Trick-or-Treat Trail!
Nevada City is thrilled to welcome trick-or-treaters downtown and to the Eric Rood Center on October 31st from 3 to 5pm for a fun, family-friendly Halloween event. We’re partnering with Nevada County to make Nevada City the spookiest (and most convenient) trick-or-treating destination in town—with parking at the Eric Rood Center and a free Nevada County Connects shuttle to downtown Nevada City.

Ghouls and ghosts of all ages are invited to roam our town and haunted halls, go on a Spooktacular Scavenger Hunt, and gather tasty treats. Take the free Nevada County Connects shuttle to and from downtown Nevada City, where merchants will open their doors to trick-or-treaters. Shuttles will run between the Eric Rood Center and City Hall every 15 minutes until 7:00 pm.

Inn Town Campground Haunted Path
Where else can you go camping in October amidst the magic of Halloween (all the charm, none of the scariness!). Our campground is decorated with skeletons climbing trees throughout camp, an outdoor skeleton yoga installation, and zombies in a camping tent. We’ve got the magic of Halloween spirit throughout the month of October, limited to campers only (so get your reservation in advance!). The Inn Town Campground encourages campers to decorate their campsites to get into the season, costumes recommended, but not required.

In addition to a decorated campground, we have kid-friendly Halloween movies playing on the weekends, so bring a blanket and a thermos of hot cocoa and enjoy the autumn camping vibes. Learn more.
