For your convenience, we coordinate with the city to process vendor-specific licenses. As a vendor, you are eligible for a reduced rate of $24 per year. Once you obtain a business license, it is good for 12 months. You will be able to renew it through the vendor application process of future events. The reduced vendor rate is not available directly through the city. If you conduct business within the city beyond event vending, such as operating a brick and mortar store, you are required to apply for a standard business license at City Hall. Constitution Day Vendor Agreement* I agree to the Constitution Day vendor agreement below.In consideration for receiving permission to participate in the 2023 Constitution Day Celebration event, the Vendor hereby releases, waives, discharges and covenants not to sue the Nevada City Chamber of Commerce (hereinafter also known as “Chamber”)or the City of Nevada City (hereinafter also known as “City”), their agents, volunteers, or officers from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by the Vendor, including personal injury or property damage to the Vendor whether caused by the negligence of including but not limited to Vendor/Releaser, Chamber, City, or otherwise, while participating in such activity, or while in, on or upon the premises where the activity is being conducted. I am fully aware of the risks involved and hazards connected with the Constitution Day Celebration and I hereby elect to voluntarily participate in said activity with full knowledge that said activity may be hazardous to me and my property. I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks of loss, property damage or personal injury, including death, that may be sustained by me or any loss or damage to property owned by me, arising out of being engaged in such activity, whether caused by the negligence of Vendor/Releaser or otherwise. I further hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Nevada City Chamber of Commerce and the City of Nevada City, its agents, volunteers and officers from any loss, liability, damage or costs, including court costs and attorney fees, that they may incur arising out of my participation in said activity at the 2023 Constitution Day Celebration, whether caused by negligence of Vendor/Releaser or otherwise. I understand that the Nevada City Chamber of Commerce and the City of Nevada City does not provide any insurance coverage for Vendor participants for any circumstances arising from their participation in this event or any activity associated with or facilitating that participation. As such, I am aware that I should review my own insurance portfolio or coverage. In the event the Constitution Day Celebration is canceled, the Vendor, Chamber and City shall make all reasonable efforts to keep expenses at a minimum. The Nevada City Chamber of Commerce reserves this right to cancel the Constitution Day Celebration for any reason of force majeure, including but not limited to inclement weather, power outages, or any other reason where the cancellation was caused by forces, individuals, entities or events beyond the Chamber’s reasonable control. The Nevada City Chamber of Commerce shall let vendor know of the cancellation, via email, no later than 2 P.M. the day of the scheduled Constitution Day Celebration. Vendor agrees that the maximum damage for a failure to notify of the cancellation by the agreed upon time and date is their pro rata share of fees to participate.
