Become a Summer Nights Vendor

Please note that this is a juried event. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance. You will be notified of acceptance within approximately two weeks of submitting your application.


  • Wednesdays,
    July 17, 24 & 31, 2024
    6:00 – 9:30 p.m.


  • Craft Vendors – $300
    All items handmade by the vendor.
  • Non-craft Vendors – $325
    All items mass-produced and/or imported, including pre-packaged food.
  • Micro-vendors – $160 – Now offering a limited number of micro (4×6 ft.) spaces. Micro-vendors will now be located on South Pine Street. No food vendors.
  • Food Vendors – $400
    Before registering all food vendors must have a Temporary Food Facilities permit from the Nevada County Environmental Health Department.
  • Non-Profits – $120
    May hand out informational materials. Resale number and Business License are required only if making sales. (When filling in the application, if not making sales enter 1111111 in the license number fields).
  • Downtown Chamber Members – free
    Must be a chamber member, have a storefront in the market, and their booth must be directly in front of their shop.

Booth Regulations

  • 10×10 space.
  • Food Vendor vans/booths on wheels (when permitted by chamber officials) must pay an additional out-of-compliance-size fee.

Vendor Requirements

  • Participate in all three events.
  • Insurance – FOOD VENDORS ONLY. The Nevada City Chamber of Commerce and the City of Nevada City must be named as additionally insured on your insurance policy. A certificate must be submitted to the Chamber no later than 10 days before the event.
  • Resale license. This is required to complete the online registration. For more information on acquiring a resale license see Be aware that it can take two weeks from submitting your application to receive your license.
  • All food vendors are required to have a Temporary Food Facilities Permit from Nevada County.
  • Take your trash with you after each event.
  • The City of Nevada City is now requiring that all vendors have a business license. We have worked with the city to reduce the fee and streamline the process for you. You can apply for and obtain your business license in the Summer Nights vendor application. There is an annual $24 for a license (applies to non brick and mortar vendors only) and it’s good for any events your vend within Nevada City city limits (all chamber events, farmers market, foundry, etc.).


Prior to June 16th, your fee, minus $50 for processing, will be returned. After June 16th, no refunds will be granted.
