We offer experiential tours (about 1 hour) where you can meet and feed alpacas, as well as shop our boutique (yarn, hand-made items, plus!). Arrangements can be made for you to walk an alpaca (is a charge for this–call for details). We will educate you on this amazing animal, & their luxurious eco-friendly fiber. Selfies OK. Underground Gold Miners Museum (UGMM) is located in the remote gold-mining town of Alleghany (1 hour drive from Nevada City). Exhibits share the history and geology of the Alleghany Mining District, home of the still active Sixteen to One Mine. The museum is open by appointment and for a two-day gold show held annually in June. Please visit for current events and contact information.
