Thanksgiving in Nevada City is a quintessential time that commences the winter holidays. LeeAnn Brook Fine Art in downtown Nevada City will feature local and regional artists for an annual show this Thanksgiving weekend. Open all weekend from 10:00am-6:00pm, Artisans Bounty will showcase the works of approximately 20 different artists, including LeeAnn Brook’s paintings, Mike Snegg’s sculptures and woodwork, and John Williamson’s beautifully sculpted evergreen trees, hand-turned on a lathe from one piece of wood. A new line of contemporary dinnerware made exclusively for LeeAnn Brook Fine Art by ceramicist Lynn Wood will illuminate the late 1800s brick building that houses the gallery. Brook curated Artisans Bounty three years ago when she opened her gallery in Nevada City, as a way of showcasing the work of local and regional artists for holiday gifts. A new item offered exclusively at LeeAnn Brook Fine Art are canvas tote bags featuring a woodcut block print by 1950s Nevada City artist Bob Gilbert. The artwork is also featured on a new line of holiday cards designed by LeeAnn Brook.
