Helping Hands Adult Day Program is dedicated to providing quality respite care to the caregivers in our community. We are starting a series of 8 weekly FREE events specifically for the caregiver to give them a personal touch of wellness as we enter the holiday season. Care for their loved one is provided during each event. “For the LOVE of Caregivers Pampering” series will be held at Helping Hands Adult Day Program 17645 Penn Valley Drive from 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm on a Tuesday or Friday. October 29th – Carolyn Mackinlay MS will present two, 30-minute sessions of FUN and SIMPLE stretching exercises for flexibility, strength, endurance, and
enjoyment! No need to sign up!
November 8th – Colleen Bond RN, Director of Helping Hands will present a CAADS informational seminar as presented by Jill Wood“Recognizing and Managing Holiday Depression in Older Adults”
November 15th – FALLS PREVENTION COALITION Karen Marinovich, FPC Coordinator presents “Mindfulness and Cognitive Safety While Caregiving”
November 19th – Heidi Slaton, Roden and Fields Consultant will give FACIALS and skin care techniques for aging skin of all types.
December 6th – Jeff Pylman CMS, Bowman Therapist will give Mini-Chair MASSAGE for complete stress relief and relaxation! Jeff has truly AMAZING skills! While you wait your turn, watch 4-5 minute episodes of “Walking on Egg Shells” by Amy Sales LCSW regarding important caregiver topics.
