Fall Color Tree Tour Raises Money for Arbor Day Project

The Nevada City Chamber of Commerce hosted a Fall Color Walking Tree Tour on Saturday, October 26, 2019. Over fifty (50) people gathered to take in the fall color and learn more about trees from arborist Zeno Action of Acton Arboriculture, who led the tour.

This tour was funded in part by a grant from the City of Nevada City for activities that promote and or improve Nevada City.

The $200 raised by voluntary donations will go to a tree planting for Arbor Day 2020. Watch for details as more is determined closer to the April 24, 2020 date.

“Many wonderful heritage trees in Nevada City were donated to public spaces. We hope to continue this tradition by planting several exceptional specimen trees for Arbor Day next spring.”—Pamela Biery, tour organizer
