This is a zero-waste event and we need your help to make it a success! Read on to learn about how you can get the most out of the event while minimizing your and the overall events impact.
At the event we’ll be utilizing a state-of-the-art bio-burner to process most of the waste and turn it into char.
How to Fest:
- Walk, ride your bike, carpool or take public transportation – if you are able (Nevada County Connects will be offering free bus fares all weekend for Earth Day)
- Bring your own water bottle and cup (the event does not sell bottled water – but we have water fountains throughout the event)
- Bring a reusable grocery bag for all the goodies you’ll accumulate
- Bring your own reusables to our event. We encourage everyone to bring reusable utensils, straws, etc. (or you can purchase them at the event)
- Use the waste stations correctly – we’ll offer waste stations with options for composting, bio-char & recycling. Be sure to read the signs to get the right bins for your waste
- Come ready to learn, shop, and be inspired. There will be dozens of educational booths, interactive activities, and vendors selling environmentally friendly products
- Stay for the whole day! We’ll have live music, performances, lawn games, seating, and more – come and stay a while!
