Tuesday, July 11th at 1:00 pm – Learn to Make Feta
This class is designed to teach you the steps in making feta and setting up brines for salting and storage
Sunday, July 16th at 10:00 am – All About Mozzarella
Fresh mozzarella and burrata in 30 minutes! You’ll get lots of practice stretching curd.
Tuesday, August 8th and September 12th at 1:00 pm – Cheesemaking 101
Learn to make fresh cheeses – fromage blanc, ricotta & cream cheese.
Sunday, August 20th at 10:00 am – Hard Cheeses
You’ll learn all about making semi-hard and hard cheeses. You’ll be leaving with a tomme-style cheese for aging at home.
Sunday, September 24th at 10:00 am – Mozzarella
Fresh mozzarella and burrata in 30 minutes! You’ll receive lots of practice stretching curd.
All classes include plenty of cheese tasting. You’ll learn about cheesemaking, as well as salting, brining, waxing and aging. We’ll cover ingredients, milk type, rennet, culture and salt. All students leave with the cheeses they make. Classes are limited to 6 students. Call the shop to register 530/478-1665. Private classes are also available.
