CATS Presents South Pacific – Final Week!

Bali Ha’i is Calling!

An all-time favorite beckons you to the Nevada Theatre in Nevada City runs Thursday, April 12 –  May 5. CATS opens its 24th Season with the Rodgers and Hammerstein’s award-winning musical on James Michener’s stories of the South Pacific during World War II. CATS welcomes the return of directors and musical directors Jeffrey Mason and Susan Mason (who were at the helm of Miss Saigon). I know many in the audience will not be able to resist “humming along” with Some Enchanted Evening, There’s Nothin’ Like a Dame, Bali Ha’i, A Wonderful Guy, and I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Out Of My Hair, and more! South Pacific has it all — not one, but TWO love stories, a breath-taking set, a nine-piece orchestra, great singers and actors of all ages, comedy, drama, and, a timely message on race and prejudice. Even though South Pacific first premiered on Broadway almost seventy years ago, it’s message is still relevant today.
