Camp Gold Hollow, located on Lake Vera 2 miles north of Nevada City has a tradition of almost 90 years of happy campers. Our resident camp provides children from ages 7-17 with a week long experience where they can learn to work together within a group, make new friends, learn new outdoor skills, build self esteem and learn firsthand about the interrelationship of all living things. The KARE Crisis Nursery is a home in a rural neighborhood that offers emergency and crisis care to the children of families experiencing stressful situations. The children are safe, cared for and nurtured while their parents are linked to the supports needed to help them through their individual situations. These respite services are free of charge to the families. Professional supervision of visitations also happens at the Nursery.

Exhibits share the history and geology of the Alleghany Mining District, home of the still active Sixteen to One Mine.
