Calico Pop Up Art Events put the pulse of the CITY into Nevada CITY. Events include Tapas, Spirits, and ART showcased in a variety of themes such as dance, performance, visual art, and many others! Affairs are concluded by sought after live music performances and dance parties.
We are a MakerSpace, a membership based organization wherein members share the space, tools and each others knowledge and expertise in order to make what matters to them. We have a 20,000sf space with over $150,000 worth of tools from welders to sewing machines, CNC machines and more. We also hold public workshops.
InConcert Sierra presents "Classical Music to Rock your World" from the hottest emerging artists to internationally renowned performers, and our own, Sierra Master Chorale & Orchestra. Our season is from September through June annually.

Music in the Mountains brings classical entertainment to Nevada County with their four concert series and festivals each year. Jazz, Broadway, and Pops concerts are also featured.
Dubbed the “Sundance of the Sierra”, the Nevada City Film Festival has brought top independent and international film and filmmakers to Nevada County since 2001. Each year the festival screens nearly 100 award-winning short and feature length films at historic locations throughout Nevada City. The festival also produces the popular Movies Under the Pines outdoor summer film series, filmmaker residencies, and comedy shows.
Nevada County Arts Council is the hub for information on the arts in Nevada County, and the go-to place for ways to get involved. As State-Local Partner with California Arts Council, we facilitate collaborative efforts that promote and sustain the visual, literary and performing arts of Nevada County to advance the cultural, social and economic life of our community.
Every year, the Nevada County Concert Band (NCCBand) brings back to life an era in American history when the local Sunday Band Concert was a grand social occasion. Located in the Sierra Nevada foothills' gold country of Grass Valley and Nevada City, the NCCBand performs free concerts at public parks and local events. In the summer, enjoy the 4-part Picnic Pops Concert Series, wave a flag at the curbside with the band at the Independence Day Parade, catch our performance at the Nevada County Fair, or join us at Constitution Day's street concert. The Schoolhouse has been a community Cultural Center since 1980, hosting visual and literary art, dance, theater, and other cultural events. Located 20 miles north of Nevada City, the Schoolhouse, a graceful example of Western Colonial architecture.
FUN is the key word at Off Broadstreet! Our goal is to bring you an unforgettable evening of entertainment. We produce only comedies, and most of these are musicals, with a slant toward familiar hit songs of the 1950's and 60's. Intimate cabaret seating and a relaxed and friendly atmosphere add to the uniqueness of the experience.

The Nevada County Fairgrounds is covered with hundreds of towering pine trees on almost 90 acres. It is home to the annual Nevada County Fair, the Draft Horse Classic, the Country Christmas Faire, world-class music festivals, and year-round community events. There is also a year-round RV Park, Lions Lake, rental facilities, weekly events, weddings, some of our community's largest outdoor events, and lots of areas to walk.
Nestled in the gold mining town of Grass Valley sits a beautiful, historic gem. Home of the Grass Valley Museum, the Saint Joseph's Cultural Center provides a beautiful venue for weddings and events - come tour the Rose Garden, filled with over 100 heritage roses, trees and plants. The interior of the Chapel is covered with intricate, pressed tin tiles and is a gorgeous setting for any special event. Artist Studios available for rent.
