Come see artists in action at Art Works Gallery in downtown Grass Valley. On the second Saturday of every month, members of the gallery are on hand to give demonstrations of how they work with their various media, and visitors will get the chance to learn about each artist’s creative process. On Saturday April 11, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm three artists will be giving demonstrations.
A variety of techniques used to create dyed silk scarves will be shown and discussed by Kris Johnson, www.designsinfiber.com. Sylviane Giacoletto, oil painter, will work on a sunset painting, showing her palette knife technique to paint trees, www.sylvianegiacoletto.com, and photographer, Gail Lipson will be showing how she extends her images beyond the borders, www.photosofoldamerica.com
Art Works Gallery Co-op exhibits a high quality collection of artwork from local artists featuring jewelry, furniture, paintings, photography, ceramics, fiber arts, woodworking, glass, and mixed-media. The hours are 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Saturday, and 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Sunday. It is located at 113 Mill Street in downtown Grass Valley, California.
