Exhibit Title: Reclaiming Our Ancestral Roots
Show Dates: Wednesday, July 3rd – Tuesday, July 30th
Jennifer Rugge’s show features works created with natural mineral paints on wood. Reclaiming Our Ancestral Roots explores the world of the Ancients, intertwining the mystery surrounding their art, techniques, and early language roots in signs and pictographs.
Jennifer describes her painting and creative process by saying, “The energy of art emerges from a deep yearning within to express awareness of the beauty already inherent in our surroundings.” She goes on to say that, “Nature in life inspires and ignites my passion to share the value of art through the collecting and mixing of natural minerals into oil paints and applying these to paper and wood surfaces.” Come visit Nevada City Winery to see how Jennifer brings together the elements of nature to convey the beauty her surroundings rouse within her.
