Anew Day will be holding its seventh annual Crab Feed & Auction fundraising event. Our largest organizational event of the year, the Crab Feed & Auction is expected to draw 300 guests and raise over $50,000 to support the services Anew Day provides to our community.
One way to support the work of Anew Day is through table sponsorship. If you would like to sponsor a table, registration may be completed online at www.anew-day.com or by telephone at 530-470-9111. Table sponsorship includes seating for eight guests and may be purchased for $350 (Individual tickets are $50). Similarly, donating a service or product from your organization to include in our live or silent auction is great visibility and will help us to reach this year’s funding goals.
To create the emotional mental wellness of the Nevada County community, it is critical that we collectively develop an environment where connections are made and cultivated, where our youth are supported and encouraged to succeed in life and our friends, family and neighbors experience healthy, hope-filled lives. Nevada County – for more than two decades – had one of the highest suicide rates per capita throughout California. Since Anew Day’s inception in 2006, today, rather than ranking in the top counties for state suicide rates per capita, we are ranked number 20. This decrease is directly related to the services offered by Anew Day and the partnerships of countless like-minded community organizations.
Anew Day provides low and no-cost counseling, utilizing lay counselors and professional therapists who are supervised by licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, to provide hope and healing to those who are hurting and struggling with various stages of depression, suicidal ideation, anxiety, grief, relationship and addiction, as well as various other daily life crises and difficulties. We provide our services in a nurturing, supportive environment. In addition to individual, couples and family counseling, we provide therapeutic group programs such as our Art Grief Group, Boundaries, Post-partum support groups, step-family classes, Healing Through Art, Adult Children of Addictive or Dysfunctional Families, men- and women-specific support groups, sexual abuse and sexual integrity groups, and various other support programs for people dealing with life’s struggles.
We hope to see you at this year’s event and share with you more about Anew Day and the work we’re accomplishing, and the lives being impacted!
