The 10th Annual Nevada City Film Festival is Coming!

FilmFestAugust 19-22nd the Nevada City Film Festival presented by AJA Video will celebrate their 10-year anniversary with four days of film screenings, filmmaking panel discussions and parties. This year over 40 short films and a handful of feature lengths showcasing filmmaking’s rising talent as well as established directors will be screened in three locations including the Center for the Arts in Grass Valley and the Miners Foundry Cultural Center and Nevada Theatre in Nevada City.

Together they will be presenting a special screening of shorts and music videos from the show. Thanks for the Flower Baskets!

FlowerBasketThank you to all the businesses and individuals who contributed to the flower baskets that beautify our historic downtown area! The Flower Basket program is overseen by the Nevada City Chamber of Commerce, and the cost of these is covered by various companies and individuals who want to help beautify the town.  The baskets are generally filled with colorful annuals and are cared for either by the business that they are near, or by individuals. The baskets need to be tended and watered regularly, but the hard work pays off as they add a lot of beauty to Broad Street and the surrounding area. Thanks again to everyone who contributes so much to this effort!
