Scenic and picturesque Nevada City has been featured in many films, television programs and commercials. Recently, you may have seen us in "The Christmas Card," broadcast nationally on the Hallmark Channel in 2006 and 2007. In 2008, a Sony commercial was filmed here and aired internationally.
Located amid deep green forested mountainsides, containing some of the finest 1800s architecture in all of California and inhabited by a fun-loving, arts and outdoor oriented population, Nevada City is an ideal filming location.
The downtown area is filled with colorful wood and brick buildings and the surrounding residential neighborhoods have some of the Sierra foothills' finest examples of Victorian architecture.
Nevada City's old-fashioned charm and beauty make it very popular among photographers and filmmakers.
