Roofline Christmas Lights

October 19, 2012

Victorian Christmas begins Thanksgiving weekend and we all want the Nevada City downtown to be the brightest spot on Santa’s route. That means it’s time to tune up, replace, or install roofline Christmas lights.

Most businesses in the downtown area have adequate strings of lights, and will only need a “tune-up” – that is, check the lines for damage and replace burned out light bulbs. This task will be done towards the 1st of November and only to those businesses that register in advance. The deadline is October 22, so don’t hesitate, please let us know right away what you would like done.

As usual, if you have the ability to replace light bulbs on your own, just let the office know so that light bulbs may be reserved for you.

Remember: Turn on lights starting Monday, November 19th (in time for the Thanksgiving weekend) and turn them on every night through Sunday, January 6th.

To save energy, the Chamber recommends using a timer and having your lights come on at 5 p.m. and off at midnight. Please turn lights off after January 6th.
