Window Shopping, NC Style
Nevada City’s colorful past is captured in the current photo exhibit, “Windows on History,” which runs through October. The exhibit includes 47 mural size historical photographs taken in downtown Nevada City between 1850 and 1920. The photos may be seen in store windows throughout the downtown historic district.

Happy Anniversary, SPD!
It’s been 50 years since See, Painter and Dilley established their SPD Market and its still a top choice among discerning local shoppers. SPD is celebrating its Golden Anniversary this month; stop in and check out the festivities and specials....

Run Through The Colors Oct. 25
Enjoy NC’s spectacular fall colors and get in some exercise on Sunday, Oct. 25, in the 18th Annual Run Through the Colors, a 5k run and walk and a 10k run. The event is sponsored by the Sierra Nevada Group of the Sierra Club and is timed to showcase Nevada City’s great fall colors. Media Focus on Nevada City
Nevada City has been getting some good press in recent weeks. The Nevada County Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum, featured earlier this summer on the KVIE-Channel 6 Rob on The Road Show, was also broadcast nationwide in September on America’s Heartland. NC is the subject of travel stories in Reno Magazine this month and San Joaquin Magazine next month.
