Meeting to Release Results of Public Opinion Survey on Nevada City

The results of a three-month public opinion survey on Nevada City will be announced in a public meeting to be held at 5:30 p.m. on Monday (Nov. 12, Veterans Day Observed) at City Hall.

Kirk Valentine, chairman of the Nevada City Chamber of Commerce marketing committee, said the survey results will be helpful to the chamber, downtown association and City Council in planning the city's future.

“The Great Nevada City Survey,” conducted online and by mail, attracted more than 1000 responses during the July-September time frame.

Survey results will be announced and analyzed with the assistance of Nevada City resident and professional pollster Randall Sherman, owner of New Venture Research Corp. Sherman volunteered to help the chamber with the effort.

Valentine said all interested residents and business people are welcome to attend the meeting.
