Mardi Gras in Nevada City
It began as the Joe Cain Day Celebration in 1993 and since that time has grown into one of the region's premier Mardi Gras celebrations. Nevada City's Mardi Gras Parade rolls through the downtown historic district beginning at 2 pm. on Sunday (Feb.22). Everyone is encouraged to wear their finest Mardi Gras attire.
