Chamber Mission Statement

“The Nevada City Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary partnership of business and professional people working together to promote commerce, business and tourism through marketing campaigns, promotions and events.  While emphasizing our quality of life and historic environment, our goal is to benefit merchants and citizens both professionally and economically.”

Goals

  • Continue to promote new and existing businesses.
  • Expand the membership base through increased productivity, quality and service.
  • Improve communications between chamber members and the board of directors and act upon the needs of the membes.
  • Build a sound financial position based on a balance between promotional projects, events and operational expenses.
  • Continue to improve relationships with other county area chambers, business-related organizations, community organizations and the Nevada County Fair board.
  • Encourage increased participation of members in chamber activities.  Place emphasis on members in outlying areas.
  • Continue to expand communication and solicit support from the city and county.
