Chris Enss Book Launch & Signing Oct 6th

Chris Enss, author of many books on the old West, will be signing her latest book “Object: Matrimony – The Risky Business of Mail-Order Matchmaking on the Western Frontier” at the Nevada County Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum at #5 Kidder Court in Nevada City on Saturday, October 6th, 12-3 p.m.

The author will be giving an entertaining review to launch her new book at 12:45 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. plus refreshments and a chance to win a Prairie Lace Design wedding dress. Sign ups for winning the wedding dress will be available during the event.

Chris gives many talks on her 25 plus books that she has authored not to mention that she is a splendid story teller in period costume. This will be the first of three of her new books coming out Oct. 1st. She will go across country to introduce the other two.

With her love of traveling the many Western cities around the country gathering research and with her extensive background in historical, award winning writing, the end result is a totally interesting and enjoyable read. We have many of her books in our gift shop at the Nevada County Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum.

Her book “Thunder Over the Prairie” is going to be made into a movie and her book “The Cowboy and the Senorita,” a biography of Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, is going to be made into a broadway musical with Clint Black playing Roy Rogers.
