Artisans Festival Thanksgiving Weekend 2011
Over a hundred fifty years ago, Miners Foundry Cultural Center was a noisy, dirty and gritty manufacturing site producing equipment for the local gold mining industry.
Now, the venerable old building serves many functions, including host of the Artisans Festival at Miners Foundry. This small, tasty art festival is held annually on Thanksgiving Weekend and features exceptional fine art and fine craft. For three decades, artists have presented their work in this historic setting, delighting the thousands of shoppers and collectors who make this event a priority on their holiday schedule.
Come and enjoy the art, have something to eat, enjoy the music of Ludi Hinrichs and Friends in the Osborn-Woods Hall and Paul Emery in the Stone Hall. Artisans Festival is one of the Foundry’s top fundraisers. Admission is $3, with those under 16 admitted free. Miners Foundry is located in downtown Nevada City at 325 Spring Street, next to Nevada City Winery.
