Tuttle Book Launch Oct. 15
An extraordinary “Book Launch” will occur in the Council Chambers at the Nevada City Hall starting at 3:30 pm, Saturday, October 15th. The Hon. Richard E. Tuttle, retired Superior Judge, will discuss his newly published book Nevada City & Beyond containing candid, incautious and probing accounts of such matters as Dick Tuttle’s schoolboy adventures in Nevada City in the 1920s and 1930s; Sgt. Tuttle’s wartime exploits in Benghazi, Libya, and subsequent internment in a Nazi POW camp; his experience as a fledgling attorney and professional lobbyist in California; exciting times as a participant in the 1960s Civil Rights struggle in Mississippi; appointments to the Superior Court and State Energy Commission by Gov. Jerry Brown; Judge Tuttle’s previously undisclosed encounters with the “Rich and Infamous”.
A question period will follow the author’s remarks autographed copies of Nevada City & Beyond will be available for sale before and after the talk. These purchases will benefit the Friends of the Nevada County Libraries. Refreshments will be served
