22nd Annual Sierra BrewFest August 27

Have you ever looked at the dozens of beer choices in your local supermarket and wondered what each of them tasted like, but didn’t want to spend the money to try them all? If so, the Sierra BrewFest may just be the answer for you.
On the other hand, you might be a connoisseur of the myriad of tastes and styles available from the brewing arts. You might enjoy an afternoon of sampling and comparing lots of different brews. You probably would also like to find out what the latest new offerings are from California’s leading microbreweries. Once again, the Sierra BrewFest is just your ticket.
On Saturday, August 27th, from 3 to 6:30 in the afternoon, the 22nd annual Sierra BrewFest will satisfy all of the above needs, plus more. Not only will there be 100+ hand-crafted beers offered by over 30 of the best microbreweries on the planet, but there will also be a chance to satisfy your gastronomic desires and enjoy some great music. Noshing choices run the gamut, including jerky, sushi, BBQ, burgers, dogs, Mexican, ice cream, smoothies and sausages, of course. You can also listen and dance to the killer sounds of Bob Mora and The Third Degree Blues Band. And all of this takes place while you’re hanging out at the most beautiful fairgrounds in California, the Nevada County Fairgrounds.
It’s only $25 in advance or $30 at the gate for unlimited beer tastings and a souvenir glass. Non-tasters, including designated drivers, are admitted free.
Tickets and information are available at www.musicinthemountains.org or www.sierrabrewfest.com or by calling the Music in the Mountains box office at (530) 265-6124
