Sierra Commons is presenting a six-week business course to help entrepreneurs, start-ups and small business owners launch new businesses in Nevada County. Much more than a business plan workshop, the Sierra Common’s Business Ignitor Course brings together a group of like-minded individuals, guides them through the steps and provides the practical tools needed to launch a business at the end of the course.

The recently completed pilot course successfully launched 14 new start-ups in Nevada County. We are now ready to build on this success with the announcement of the Business Ignitor Course 2.0.

The Ignitor Course targets entrepreneurs who have focused business ideas and are committed to moving forward. The instructors at Sierra Commons understand that it takes a high level of commitment to start a business, so the sessions are geared accordingly. It will be an intense six weeks, but in the end, graduates have the opportunity to transform from aspiring entrepreneurs to inspired business owners.

During the Free Primer Session on April 20th, Sierra Commons’ Brian Gillings will present “Bootstrapping your way to success”. Brian will teach start-up and existing businesses how to leverage limited funds to survive and thrive in our challenging economy.
