Call for Entries for Mardi Gras Parade, March 6
The Nevada City Mardi Gras Parade is known for its colorful, off-the-wall and often zany parade entries. You can be part of this year’s fun.
The Nevada City Chamber of Commerce has announced that entries are open for this year’s parade, which is scheduled for Sunday afternoon, Mar. 6, in historic downtown Nevada City.
The $25 entry fee applies to individuals, groups, marching bands, floats, classic cars, equestrians and all other entries. Applications are available from the Nevada City Chamber of Commerce at 132 Main Street. Call 265-2692.
Chamber officials are reminding participants that safety will be a priority at the family parade. There is no throwing of beads and trinkets to the crowd (items must be handed), no water will be sprayed and all motorized vehicles will be monitored for safety.
