Over 200 locals participated in an effort to convince Google that Nevada City would be the best candidate for its Fiber for Communities project. Rich Brooks will be the Grand Marshall for the Nevada City 4th of July Parade. Rich is the former head football coach at the University of Kentucky. Prior to Kentucky, he won the Paul “Bear” Bryant Award for national coach of the year after leading Oregon to the 1995 Rose Bowl.
